With nearly nine hundred lab-confirmed cases across the province, the healthcare system's preparedness and ability to cope with the emergency situation were put to the test in many regions. Intensive Care Units in several facilities were running at maximum capacity for weeks at a time, while other areas in hospitals were forced to deal with a large influx of suspected flu cases.
