The Manitoba Nurses Union (MNU) offers a variety of educational opportunities available to members:  

MNU Education Day is an event held annually at the AGM that helps rejuvenate members in the enjoyment of both their personal and professional lives. Set with a positive tone, motivational guest speakers offer insight into taking care of yourself within a challenging and changing profession. Register for Education Day 2012

MNU Labour School
is annual educational event regarding a variety of union and labour topics including respect in the workplace, the grievance arbitration process, and the administration of a Local/Worksite. The intent is to provide an educational experience for both novice and seasoned union activists, in relaxed social setting that promotes interaction among members. Learn more about Labour School

AIL funds a scholarship to send one grassroots member to Labour School.

The MNU Education Committee also funds a spot, for a first time participant.

Administration of a Local Workshop is designed to equip leaders new to their elected positions with the tools that they need to provide leadership to their worksite/local.Attention will be given to the roles and responsibilities of each executive position, handling grievances, dealing with management, strategic planning and budget preparation, conducting effective meetings and motivating the membership.
