Spring School in Saskatchewan The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour and the Canadian Labour Congress are hosting the 55th annual Spring School in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. The deadline to register is March 19,2012. This event qualifies for Keith Lambert funding. Prairie Labour School The second biennial Prairie Labour School will be held on June 3-5, 2012 in Canmore, AB. Registration deadline is April 2, 2012. The MNU board of directors is sponsoring 10 members to attend the Canadian Federation of Nurses (CFNU) Prairie Labour School. To apply for the opportunity to attend Labour School, through the MNU funded spots, fill out the Prairie Labour School contest application and return by April 2, 2012. There is a $500 registration fee for this event. Introduction to Parliamentary Procedures A one day workshop, with Professional Registered Parliamentarian Vera Chernicki,for Local/Worksite/Regional Leaders wanting to refresh their skills on how to run a meeting, according to the rules of the MNU handbook. The workshop is free(but non-funded) for leaders to attend and runs from 9:30a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please bring your Collective Agreements. Lunch will be served. The schedule is as follows:
