| Biting nurses' benefits is false economy |
|
A recent Winnipeg Free Press editorial, New deal for health needs bite, (Nov 9, 2011) placed the blame for a large portion of Canada's escalating health care costs on nurses'salaries. Canadian Nurses Association's Judith Shamian then 'offered that nurses would be willing to trade salary hikes for the greater rewards that come with change in the system that would use their skills more robustly.' Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions president Linda Silas responded to the editorial. |
