As we celebrate Nursing Week, it's a perfect opportunity to reflect on the difference nurses make in the lives of thousands of Manitobans each and every day.
The Manitoba Nurses Union would like to extend a great big thank you to its 11,000 members across the province.
"Everyday nurses touch the lives of patients through their delivery of care, expert knowledge, skills and compassion," said MNU President Sandi Mowat. "Nurses are the foundation of our health care system and this is a week to recognize their contribution and to say thank you."
Nursing Week is celebrated across Canada during the week of Florence Nightingale's birthday (May 12th) and this year runs from May 10 to 16.
