| Extendicare nurses ratify |

Nurses at the five Extendicare properties recently ratified new collective agreements, negotiated by MNU.
All five sites have achieved parity in terms of wages and benefits, and will also receive an increase to RRSP contributions of 1.1 per cent. There were some significant improvements negotiated in this new collective agreement, including language to ensure the union's involvement in rehabilitation and return to work programs, pre-retirement leave of four days annually (pro-rated for part-time nurses), and improvements to the health care and dental plans, including a health spending account. The five properties covered under these new agreements are Hillcrest Place, Red River Place, Vista Park Lodge, Tuxedo Villa, and Oakview Place. |
