| Into the Fishbowl: Mowat Participates in Health Innovations Conference |

Manitoba Health and Healthy Living's Wait Time Task Force recently put on a Health Innovations conference at the Winnipeg Convention Centre. MNU President Sandi Mowat was there participating in a lively panel discussion on the role of professional organizations in health innovation. The panel, entitled Setting the Direction: The Critical Role of Professional Organizations and Unions for Innovation, was set up as a "fishbowl" and allowed audience members an opportunity to take a seat on the panel and join in the discussion.
Participants joining Ms. Mowat on the panel included Dr. Fran Berard, President of the Manitoba College of Family Physicians, Dr. Bill Pope, Registrar of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Lee Manning, Executive Director of the Manitoba Association of Health Care Professionals, and Diane Wilson, Mate Director of Policy Development and Regulation of CRNM.
