MNU donates to Rossbrook House |
MNU President Sandi Mowat, presented a cheque for $10,043.40 to Rossbrook House, a community resource centre for youths.
"Rossbrook House provides a vital service to the community and has enriched the lives of many young people over the years and continues to do so every day," said Mowat.
"MNU is proud to support their work."
The majority of funds were raised at MNU’s 35th Annual General Meeting banquet hosted by nurses from local #10 - Health Sciences Centre.
Donations were also received from individual nurses.
Established in 1976,Rossbrook House is a neighbourhood drop –in centre for children and youth in Winnipeg's inner-city. The centre offers a variety of recreational, arts, cultural, women's and employment development programs.
