New vice president elected

Delegates at the 36th annual general meeting elected Donna McKenzie as MNU's new vice president. McKenzie has been active in the union since the late 1980s and was the first elected president for the Central Region, following regionalization in 1997, a position she still holds today.

She became president of her worksite, Portage Hospital, in 1991 and also sits on the Nursing Advisory and Union Management Committees.

McKenzie also has experience at the provincial committee level.

In the past she has been a member of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, and she currently sits on the Nominations Committee.
