NPs to staff Quick Care clinics
In the speech from the throne, Premier Greg Selinger announced that the government will establish "Quick Care" clinics staffed by nurse practitioners.

MNU President Sandi Mowat welcomed the announcement as a positive step for patients and said that the commitment seems to recognize the role specialized nurses play in delivering primary health care.

"Nurse practitioners are an additive to the health care system," she said.  "They give patients more choice and increased access to primary care."
