Delegates at the Annual General Meeting elected Sandi Mowat as the new President of the MNU. Sandi will assume this position September 1, 2008, when current MNU President Maureen Hancharyk retires.

Subsequent elections were held at the May Board Meeting to fill the position of Vice President, which will be vacated by Mowat. Brandon Regional and Local President Val Wotton was elected to the position.
