Although the Manitoba Nurses' Union (MNU) is non-partisan, we are committed to ensuring that our members' concerns are made clear to our elected representatives. The MNU lobbies government directly for changes and improvements to proposed and existing legislation and funding through meetings with political leaders, the submission of briefs, correspondence and direct mail campaigns, communicating with news media and building coalitions with other organizations. Our union has utilized the political process often through our lobbying efforts, private meetings and public forums to ensure that our elected representatives are held accountable and that they are aware of the concerns of nurses.
