The Winnipeg Labour Council’s Engagement and Action Committee is collecting until April 16th a variety of items for folks who are experiencing long-term homelessness.

People in this situation are ready to move into their home, but have limited essentials when they move in. The committee is collecting a wide variety of items including new and used items such as: pots and pans, set of four dishes, kitchen towels, large blankets, pillows, shower curtains, cutlery, cooking utensils, paper towel, toilet paper, Kleenex, cleaning supplies, toiletries, spices and basic pantry items.

The collected items are being donated to the Spence Neighbourhood Association and can be dropped off at the Winnipeg Labour Council office at the Union Centre building or by contacting the Council’s office to arrange a pickup at 204-942-0522. Please see this poster for full details.

Monetary donations are also gratefully accepted, to arrange this, please contact wlcadmin@winnipeglabour.ca.
