At MNU, we understand that the recent Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the new incentives for nurses holding positions with Central Table Employers may leave our members with questions.

The Manitoba government held a press conference on November 10, 2022, to announce these additional incentives.

Below, we are answering some of the common questions coming our way. Please check back often to this page, as we will be adding to it as new questions come in. Thank you!

What is Central Table?

Central Table is defined as the group of Employers represented by the Provincial Health Labour Relations Services (also known as PHLRS) during bargaining with the Manitoba Nurses Union.

This group of Employers includes the following regions: Interlake-Eastern Health Region, Southern Health Region, Winnipeg-Churchill Health Region, Shared Health Region, Prairie Mountain Health Region and Northern Health Region.

MNU members who work at Hospitals, Personal Care Homes, and other health facilities/programs under these Employers are included in Central Table bargaining.

For a full list of the Hospitals, Personal Care Homes, and other health facilities/programs under who are represented at the Central Table, please see this list.

What is the process for the licensure repayment?

MNU has asked the Employers for further information as to the process for submission of proof of payment for licensure, once we receive an answer, we will certainly post it here on the website for member information.

Please note that we will continue to update this Q&A over the coming days and weeks.
