The Manitoba branch of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) is holding its latest event in its Speaking Up series on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023.

Featuring Curt Hull, the project director of Climate Change Connection and lead author of The Road to Resilience series, speaking on the topic ‘We Really Can Live Without Fossil Fuels,’ this event takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at X-Cues, located at 551 Sargent Avenue in Winnipeg.

Additionally, CCPA-Manitoba is holding an event in Brandon called ‘Healthcare is a Public Good,’ and features Thomas Linner, provincial director of the Manitoba Health Coalition, and Niall Harney, senior researcher and Errol Black Chair of Labour Issues at the CCPA-MB office.

This event takes place Oct. 26 in the Louis Riel Room at Brandon University, 270 18th St., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and there will be light refreshments. To register for this free event, please visit this link.
