Last week on our social media channels, we shared the wonderful news that our 2024 Charity of Choice for the MNU AGM and until the end of the year will be Rossbrook House.

Located at the corner of Ross Avenue and Sherbrook Street in Winnipeg’s Centennial area, Rossbrook House was founded by the late Sister Geraldine MacNamara in 1976 and since then has been a constant alternative to the destructive environment of the streets by: keeping the doors open 365 days of the year and 24 hours every weekend and period of school holidays; recruiting its staff from the young people who come to the centre on a regular basis; and driving participants safely home each evening.

Today, over 1,000 children and youth ages 6-24 years come through the doors annually, and up to 80 participants on a daily basis.

Please visit Rossbrook House’s website to learn more.

The MNU AGM takes place May 7 and 8 at the Fairmont Hotel in Winnipeg. More information on the AGM will be coming in future editions of The Pulse.
