MNU is committed to ensuring members have access to accurate, up-to-date information about collective agreements and recent Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs). It’s essential that nurses understand the details of the contract and every applicable memo, and the more nurses who receive accurate information and share that information with their colleagues, the better.
MNU is currently hosting contract interpretation sessions designed to educate Worksite executives, helping them serve as trusted sources for contractual questions. A key topic generating inquiries is the Full-Time Salary Enhancement (FTSE), including eligibility requirements and qualification steps.
The FTSE MOA is attached within the collective agreement on our website, and nurses are encouraged to review these resources to fully understand eligibility criteria. MNU has also developed a fact sheet and documents that explain the FTSE, which can also be found on our website. Please note: specific circumstances that are not referenced can be addressed by your Labour Relations Officers, who have expert knowledge of the language.
The FTSE begins on April 1, 2025, and MNU is dedicated to ensuring that every eligible nurse is aware of this benefit. Nurses in the Central Table Bargaining Units (as per “Appendix D” in the collective agreement) who hold a 1.0 EFT automatically qualify. Part-time and casual nurses may also be eligible but must meet specific requirements during six-month periods within the enhancement (the first period is April 1, 2025–September 30, 2025). Part-time and casual nurses may qualify during any or all of the predetermined six-month periods.
Non-Central Table nurses, please check with your Local President for your eligibility. Check the facts from people who know—your LROs.
